We started the Barn Project so we can help as many animals as we can get off the streets and to safety, where they can stay short or long term with us until we can find adopters or fosterers for them.
The response has been amazing and we never expected so much support. We are hoping to start renovations on the barn to comply with EU REGS next spring.
The number of street dogs in the town center of Vidin alone is 700 and numbers are rising due to the lack of castrations, which we will also be hoping to organise and help local villages.
This week alone we have managed to rehome 12 dogs and over the past four weeks take 20 off the streets! With the barn converted hopefully next spring we can take and home 90 dogs. The building as been inspected and has passed as suitable by the head state vet from the ministry of agriculure.
